Late reporting can seriously hurt your chances of approval! Here’s why:
Claim Denial: Most insurers have strict deadlines for reporting claims. Missing this window could mean an automatic denial!
Technically speaking for car accidents, all parties involved, need to complete the "Constat Amiable" & submit it to their insurer within 5 days of the accident. For all claims, you have a window of 2 years from the moment your claim is opened, to submit all information relating to your claim.
Evidence Loss: The longer you wait, the harder it is to gather evidence. Photos, witness accounts, and damage assessments lose urgency over time.
Incomplete Information: Delaying your report might lead to forgotten details. Insurers need comprehensive information to process claims smoothly. We cannot over emphasise the benefits of submitting clear & comprehensive documentation to support your claim as quickly as possible. IMake it as easy as possible for the person analysying your claim to undersqtand it and to reach a decision quickly.
Policy Violations: Many policies explicitly state prompt reporting as a requirement. Late action can be seen as a breach!
Frustrating Delays: Waiting can complicate the entire process, resulting in longer wait times for resolution and payment.
